Given a choice between chaos, randomness, structure and stability, which would you choose? It is our nature, in our DNA to establish systems in order to provide a sense of control over the chaos that defines and inhabits our world.

I use my work to explore this struggle between chaos and control by exploring random arrangements of various discarded materials and then searching for the ways that the colors, shapes and materials provoke a sense of place, emotion, sensation and thought. The work is complete when there is a sense of stasis between chance and order.
